Clerkenwell Design Week is the UK’s leading design festival celebrating London’s creative hub. It is HUGE. With more than 160 showrooms, 600 events, thousands of products, installations, brand activations, topical talks, you won’t be short of things to see.
One of our clients, Milliken, was a part of Clerkenwell, so I headed down on Tuesday to show some support and get some pictures and videos for their social channels!
Their showroom was stunning! They had a variety of carpet collections on show, including their latest launch, Northern Soul. They also hosted a couple of industry talks, which were extremely insightful, whether you are in the industry or not!
It was great to get up close to the collections and be able to capture the incredible textures and patterns in my content. Having a physical presence around the flooring and being able to visualise them in the flesh really helps ideate different creative approaches and opportunities.
After spending some time at our client’s showroom, I entered the streets of Clerkenwell to get exploring and inspired!
There were so many places to visit (too many to fit into one day!), with lots of freebies on the go too! The incredible designs were endless and of such huge variety. From flooring, to bathrooms, there were showrooms and exhibitions for it all.
From a marketing perspective, it really got my brain active! There were so many different looks and feels, a variety of brand personalities and different creative executions. Almost all of the showrooms had brochures, they were all so different, but all had so many great qualities - it is safe to say I walked away with a lot of them!
